P for Perfect

Every time someone laughed at you for those crooked teeth, you tried show your teeth less while smiling. Every time someone taunted you for singing songs in that hoarse voice, you stopped listening to music. Every time someone pointed out your flaws, you tried to change.
You tried to become less aggressive. You tried to keep that mouth shut. You tried expressing your feelings less. You tried to become more beautiful by applying tons of makeup. You tried to speak the way they liked, act the way they wanted. You wanted to be perfect.
But, it never worked, did it?
It never will because you are perfect the way you are and once you believe that, no one can convince you otherwise.
