N for Nationalist

Are you a nationalist?

If nationalism is all about ‘Tiranga’ stickers and patriotic songs, I’m not a nationalist.

If nationalism is to be restricted to certain days, I’m not a nationalist.

If nationalism is all about religious and cultural supremacy, I’m not a nationalist.

If nationalism is all about restrictions on free speech and intolerance of dissent, I’m not a nationalist.

If nationalism justifies everything with ‘soldiers in Siachen’, I’m not a nationalist.

If nationalism is limited to Kashmir and Pakistan, I’m not a nationalist.

If nationalism is about outrage on an ‘alleged’ comment, I’m not a nationalist.

If nationalism is about death and rape threats to voices of dissent, I’m not a nationalist.

If nationalism is to be preferred over humanity, I don’t want to be a nationalist.

If nationalism is to be answered with “Yes or No”, I choose “None of the above”.
